Sent an appeal to Amazon for possible corporate sponsorship of our charity drive. Here's the letter in case anyone would like to use parts of it when contacting places:

I'm writing to you because Amazon has a strong track record of contributing to charitable causes. I'm heading up a fan-driven effort to raise money for Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice in honor of One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson's 22nd birthday.

One Direction fans decided the perfect gift for Tomlinson's 22nd birthday would be to see how much they could raise for this noble charity that Tomlinson supports. Bluebell Woods provide ongoing medical respite care for terminally ill children, practical and emotional support for family members, bereavement support, and end of life care.

We've received some media attention already, thanks in part to raising $850 in the first 12 hours and almost $6000 in just two weeks, but we're trying to reach our goal of $22,222 by December 24th (Tomlinson's birthday). I'm reaching out to potential corporate sponsors to see if they can assist us in making this goal a reality, either through monetary or product/gift card donations (that could be raffled off in exchange for donations).

If there is any way Amazon could assist, I would be happy to promote Amazon as our corporate sponsor on both the 1D Fans Give site and a gossip site I run called Gossip Candy (which receives combined page views of 190,000 a month for the main site and tumblr). As we get closer to goal, we expect to receive more media attention as we are actively contacting the media about our efforts and this would be a great opportunity for Amazon to be associated with a worthy cause that is completely "fan-powered".
